FCC filings seem to indicate that the Apple Vision Pro lacks the chips needed to support Ultra Wideband, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7

but there's a good reason for that Abid Iqbal Shaik / SamMobile : Apple Vision Pro lacks Wi-Fi 6E and UWB connectivity Jade Bryan / nextpit : Apple's $3,500 Vision Pro is Stuck with a Slower Wi-Fi 6 Nick Soong / Appleosophy : Vision Pro will lack Wi-Fi 6E and Ultra Wideband technology Chance Miller / 9to5Mac : Apple Vision Pro granted FCC approval as US launch looms Omar Moharram / Supercharged : Apple Vision Pro App Store now live as headset receives FCC clearance X: Joe Rossignol / @rsgnl : Some of the FCC documents for the Vision Pro are dated February 2023. Nearly a year ago! I am guessing that Apple is launching this headset later than it originally hoped to. Joe Rossignol / @rsgnl : It helps explain the M2 chip. I was going to say it also explains the lack of Wi-Fi 6E, but that was only approved by the FCC for use in headsets like the Vision Pro in October 2023, which is presumably well beyond the point when Apple had finalized specs.
