Marc Benioff says “AI is doing 30% to 50% of the work at Salesforce”, like software engineering and customer service, and its AI product has hit ~93% accuracy

This ratio sounds hard to fathom but if true I expect shareholders will push to see increased business results or layoffs as they have 30%-50% more employees than they need. Brutus / @itsillegaltobemean : I promise you, you can do a little bit of journalism as a treat. you don't just have to repost obvious lies all day.  [embedded post] Jolo / @jo10.net : Sure, but this isn't the _only_ reason I've stopped using it.  [embedded post] @thomaspowell.com : Adjusted by hourly rate of the person working, that means that GPT-41 is making 2/3rds of the leadership decisions now.  [embedded post] @trickycrayon : Yeah and my friend lost his job over it.  —  And also, I'm absolutely sure that this is not fucking true.  [embedded post] Ben Birdsall / @elephony : A) This is an obvious lie  —  B) Is this why Heroku, Salesforce's cloud service, had a completely unacceptable 12 hour downtime two weeks ago? [embedded post] Mike / @zutart : If you thought Salesforce was an expensive bloated piece of shit before, get ready cause they're about to prove it can and will get worse lol [embedded post] @octocryptid : Just because it's doing 90% of your work, Marc, doesn't mean it's doing so for others.  Also Salesforce is dogwater [embedded post] @etymon : If this can be confirmed, short Salesforce.  [embedded post] @patricksaxton : More mounting evidence that ceos are really just the media mouth piece and that maybe all the shit they sold us before was also a lie.  [embedded post] @addyct : no it doesn't. and if it “does”, the other 50-70% is mostly humans unfucking things [embedded post] @philkinzler : It's easy to make this bogus claim because nobody actually knows what Salesforce does.  [embedded post] Brian Floyd / @brianmfloyd : 1. this is a flat out lie  —  2. even if it was true it makes you and your company look dumber, like a useless husk of whatever it was that it did before.  running a potemkin company [embedded post] Scott / @smadin.net : This is obviously not really true, but if I were a business that used Salesforce, just him making this claim would be grounds for me to start the process of migrating to a competitor absolutely as soon as possible [embedded post] Steve Kovach / @stevekovach : I am deeply skeptical of this claim.  [embedded post] Jason D. Salvagni / @salvagni.org : bullshit it is [embedded post] Billy / @billyyork : Lol  —  I wonder how the actual employees doing the actual work feel about this.  [embedded post] David Adams / @daveadams : I mean, this is just a straight-up lie.  Wonder what it signals that they are so desperate to make this claim.  [embedded post] Camilo / @cam.bio : Meanwhile Slack is asking for full-enterprise-cost subscriptsion from the communities that built their brand like Techqueria and Rands Leadership Slack [embedded post] Jay Gruber / @jaydgruber : We need tech unions so badly.  Imagine some workers providing a counterfactual to one of these bullshit claims Corey Quinn / @quinnypig.com : It shows.  [embedded post] X: Emily Chang / @emilychangtv : Meet @benioff on his race to 1 billion AI agents @salesforce. This episode has it all — dolphin sounds, meditation & why he calls himself the “Taylor Swift of Tech.” Full show here: https://www.youtube.com/... [image] Matthew Berman / @matthewberman : Marc Benioff: “AI is doing 30%-50% of the work at Salesforce” Doomers: “AI is eviscerating the job market” Optimists (me): “That means they'll be able to be so much more productive!” Who really thinks Salesforce is going to choose to be stagnant and profit-maximize vs. [image] Jared Feldman / @jaredfeldman88 : @buccocapital employees still needed to explain to the AI bots what Salesforce does @buccocapital : - Be CEO - Have 73,000 employees in 2021, before AI accelerates - Claim 50% of work is done by AI - Still have 76,000 employees - ? [image] David Hajek / @hajekd : At this rate, Benioff will be the only human still working at Salesforce in two months. Marc Benioff / @benioff : Always a blast with @EmilyChangTV on @Bloomberg's The Circuit! 🌁 ✅ Our founder story to #1 CRM ✅ & Salesforce is SF's #1 company ✅ & Race to 1B Agentforce Agents ...and more! Watch here 👇 https://www.youtube.com/... LinkedIn: Richard King : This headline is scary, shocking, and exciting all at the same time.  I've often compared AI agents to the Ford Model T when it rolled off the assembly line in 1908. … Forums: r/singularity : Marc Benioff says AI now does “30 to 50%” of the work in engineering, coding, and support at Salesforce.  He also says there is a 7% error margin and admits hallucinations remain a factor. r/singularity : “AI is doing 30%-50% of the work at Salesforce” — CEO Marc Benioff r/BasicIncome : AI is doing 30%-50% of the work at Salesforce, CEO Marc Benioff says r/business : AI is doing 30%-50% of the work at Salesforce, CEO Marc Benioff says r/Layoffs : WAKE UP Part 2 : AI is doing 30%-50% of the work at Salesforce, CEO Marc Benioff says r/TheBusinessMix : AI is doing 30%-50% of the work at Salesforce, CEO Marc Benioff says
