First off, we have the Map: https://everynoise.com/... You can see all 6K+ genre's on one page in a single 2D projection- like a PCA of music. The Y-axis is electronic vs organic genres (think classical), and the X axis is smoother/atmospheric to more percussive and energetic 🧵

This beautiful project is an effort by @EveryNoise @glenn_mcdonald to organize over 6,000 genre's of music from Spotify's database into an easy to read and explore 2D map. IMO this link is easily the coolest free gift you can give to the music lovers.🧵
