Earlier today, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth shared on X that he is directing the Department of War to designate Anthropic a supply chain risk.

Designating Anthropic a “Supply-Chain Risk to National Security” rather than just canceling the contract is the biggest own goal of this entire administration. Deeply shameful behavior that weakens national security and makes it harder for us to win the global AI competition.
