Yup - normally it doesn't make sense to port to another platform till it has tens of millions of users, but Apple was able to convince devs to join early because it had goodwill and a track record of success.  That went away after Jobs and Jony left - Apple is still chugging along on older product momentum, but years of scorching devs will come back to haunt them.
