This makes sense to me as consumer trends tend to last at most 18 years because the one thing we know consistently across generations about teenagers is that they don't want to use the same products and services and brands as their parents.  The olds are on Instagram - which poisoned their brains.

On occasions I find myself seated next to teens.  I always ask about their ongoing relationship with social media, perpetually curious to know how they're going about it better than those who preceded.  Social media to them, I gather, conjures up TikTok for them, not Instagram.  The tide has turned.
