And it fucking sucks for actual, you know, threading.  I say this in the 3rd post knowing full well that the % of people who will see this is minuscule compared to the number that saw the second post, which is a fraction of the number of people who saw the first— because that's how the Threads algorithm works. …

I honestly don't understand what Threads is supposed to be at this point.  It's not good for politics or breaking news (it's not, don't @ me).  They literally have to bribe, wine, and dine fashion, culture, and athletes to post on here— and even then they do the bare minimum then ✌🏻 out.  The bulk of the viral content is stolen from the handful of original content creators who use Threads as their primary platform, but they don't get the credit or financial upside.  So, what's the point?  Honestly

So, in conclusion, as we approach Threads' 1st Birthday, I still don't know what Threads is supposed to be, and I'm willing to put good money on the possibility that Threads doesn't know what it's supposed to be either.  Anywho, I guess I'll keep posting here so long as it makes sense to post here but it's hard to shake the feeling that Meta has given up on this product.

Meta is testing giving cash bonuses to creators who post engaging content on Threads, as part of an invite-only program

Business Insider :

This is the wrong move *at this time* for 3 reasons: - it incentivizes content theft (think: withmastery) - it disincentivizes conversation - it complicates rollout of Fediverse integration by introducing a strong financial incentive that is exploitable through pay-for-like schemes

Speaking as a board-certified anesthesiologist that has administered ketamine to patients ranging from 4 to 60 years old: there's absolutely nothing about Ketamine that would explain Musk's racism, misogyny, transphobia, antisemitism, or xenophobia.  No, his statements and/or behavior are *not* attributable to disassociation.  He's just an @$$h0l3 who allegedly abuses drugs.  IOW: true and true, but unrelated.  That's all.
