A huge congrats to Thomas on his run at GitHub.  The title of his post - “Goodbye GitHub” - looks like it has dual meaning... Reading between the lines, GitHub is being fully merged into CoreAI at Microsoft.  It has been going in that direction for the past 3.5 yrs, but this marks the end of an era 😢 Goodbye, GitHub.

Anyone want to hazard a guess at the value of the productivity lost over this OpenAI debacle? Think about the countless hours of time for major tech execs, news outlets, employees, VCs, lawyers, startup execs, etc that have lost most or all of the past 5 days. What a waste.
