In ST, the A18 Pro should outperform the M1 and even the M2 due to more IPC + higher clk speeds. So the MBN should feel more “snappy” than a M1/M2 MBA.

The new @Apple MacBook Neo is powered by the A18 Pro, a mobile chip that is packaged using TSMC InFO-PoP. The DRAM sits on top of the SoC, it's a single, closed packaged. That's why the MBN comes with the same amount of 8GB DRAM as the iPhone 16 Pro. Same chip, same package. [image]

Maia 200 is a massive chip with ~825mm² die size, that's close to the reticle limit! N3P is a guess, but I doubt Microsoft is using N3E in 2026. My initial analysis👇 [image]

@KarbinC @nvidia So far we have only this image. It looks very close to GB202, but from the rumors we are not expecting a Rubin based gaming GPU. As you said, it might be really bad depending on the layout and units it has. But it looks like there's a raster engine and display out.

A deep dive into Nvidia's Rubin CPX chip architecture, which is optimized for the prefill phase of inference, emphasizing compute FLOPS over memory bandwidth

the Rubin CTX is for inference, and it's a beast  —  sold as a rack as the unit, this one optimizes various LLM phases into silicon  —  notably: it does prefill in fp4 with low mem...

Some quick assumptions about @Nvidia's new Rubin CPX. Quiet similar to GB202, with some obvious changes to the GPCs. Looks like it has full raster units (full GPU) with up to 256 ROPs. Could this be the RTX 6090? (even though Rubin was supposed to be AI only) [image]

Apple's M3 line-up looks very interesting, the GPU seems to be a complete re-design. Oh, and there die shots :)

Apple announces the 3nm M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max with a dynamic caching GPU, 20% faster performance cores over the M2, and 50% faster efficiency cores over the M1

Apple has unveiled its next generation of M series chips: M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max.  These new chips are 3nm, like the A17 Pro.

My initial #Apple M3 Max chip analysis. Clearly visible 12 P-cores, 4 E-cores, 40-core GPU, SLC, Display Engines, Thunderbolt & other I/O. The chip has a 512-bit LPDDR5 interface. I'm not 100% sure about the NPU location. Looking forward to any input! M3/Pro next! #AppleEvent [image]
