Netflix just reported that they have 325 million subscribers. Remember just a few years ago, the stock sold down -75% because of a 1 million subscriber miss. They have gained 105 million additional subscribers since that sell off.

This is a win-win-win for Netflix.  Even if the government ends up blocking it, it would delay Paramount from buying Warner for a minimum of 2 years during litigation.  Well worth the $5 billion breakup fee for Netflix to slow a competitor that long.

I don't know if people realize how insane it is to have a stock run-up into earnings as much as Google did, even trading up almost 3% on the day, only to be up 4% after it posts earnings. This only happens when a stock drops a monstrous report, which they just did. Incredible.

$NFLX Q2 earnings.  They beat on EPS and Revenue, generated $2.2 billion in free cash flow in the quarter, they're raised revenue guidance to grow 17.3% revenue in Q3.  They do not say subscriber numbers, but they're seeing “continued growth in members”.  First impressions is a solid report.
