- Taiwanese giant will own 70% of fab in eastern city of Dresden  — Facility to supply auto, industrial sectors starting in 2027

The JV will be 70% owned by TSMC with other firms each holding 10%. The plant is slated to begin construction in the second half of 2024. “This investment in Dresden demonstrates TSMC's commitment to serving our customers' strategic capacity and technology needs,” said TSMC CEO.
