My read is that this doesn't affect the algorithm per se, but creates a lower like/retweet nav bar while you scroll a link so that you're more aware you still inside the X app (and ideally I guess like or rt the post?). I think that's actually a pretty good addition to the in-app

...Now, when you go on the site, almost every item you can find is “local warehouse” - no import fees.  Items that ship from China is still on there if you search really hard... Of course, the local supplies will run and out and they'll need to restock from China.  But I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong here) tariff charges then will be less painful for the customers, since it's on the wholesale cost not the retail value like an import fee.
