Honored to be at the White House for the signing ceremony of the GENIUS Act into law! As promised, this is the most crypto-forward Administration we've ever seen. [image]

Today, Ripple moves forward—stronger than ever. This landmark case set a precedent for the domestic crypto industry. With the SEC dropping its appeal, Ripple is now in the driver's seat and we'll evaluate how best to pursue our cross appeal. Regardless, today is a day to

Another great pick by the Trump administration: @DavidSacks will bring the pro-business, pro-innovation, and fresh perspective we need. Excited to work with David and the industry to finally establish clear rules of the road for crypto in the US. The future starts now!

SEC chair Gary Gensler will step down on January 20; it has been traditional for SEC chairs to resign if the administration changes in the middle of their term

Brady Dale / Axios :

A lot of unsolicited advice on here about who should (or shouldn't) be the next SEC Chair.  I trust the transition team to make the right call with these table stakes for crypto in mind: 1.End all non-fraud crypto litigation on Day 1.  2.Get commitments from Commissioners Uyeda and Peirce to stay on and work collaboratively with the new chair.  3.Collaborate with all financial regulators and Congress on clear and simple rules for crypto, but without presuming that those rules give the SEC primary jurisdiction over anything.

(1) The SEC's decision to appeal is disappointing, but not surprising. This just prolongs what's already a complete embarrassment for the agency. The Court already rejected the SEC's suggestion that Ripple acted recklessly, and there were no allegations of fraud and, of course,

The US SEC files a notice of appeal in its Ripple case, seeking to reverse a July 2023 ruling that XRP sales on retail exchanges didn't violate securities rules

A federal judge ruled last year that the SEC had not made its case that Ripple violated securities law by selling XRP to retail customers through exchanges.

A final judgment. The Court rejects the SEC's suggestion that Ripple acted recklessly and she reminds the SEC that this case did not involve any allegations of fraud or intentional wrongdoing, and no one suffered any financial harm. She rejects the SEC's absurd demand for $2B in

Our response will be filed next month, but as we all have seen time and again, this is a regulator that trades in statements that are false, mischaracterized and designed to mislead. They stayed true to form here. 2/4

Comm. Peirce is *spot* on. This long overdue approval comes only because the courts checked an out of control regulator. Gensler's battle royal against crypto has turned the SEC into a caricature not to be trusted by the public, policy makers or judges.
