A few observations - Ray-Ban being associated with these is the strongest signal EVER from a fashion brand for AR glasses - For the 1st time I am actually excited about the prospects of being able to buy and wear AR glasses for daily use - If there's indeed an SDK, then it's 🎉

Finally! We can finally decorate our spaces with persistent widgets in visionOS 26! 🩵 This is something I and many others experimented since the first visionOS 1 betas! [video]

I really thought Apple was the only other company with the power to kickstart a general-purpose XR ecosystem.  Vision Pro is a fantastic and super-capable device, with a price and some limitations that prevent it from being a major success...And Apple's problem is developers are unable to continue working many more years on a niche platform...

I love my Vision Pro but would love it even more if it were lighter and more comfortable. On the other hand I use my Meta × Ray Ban glasses even more and kind of wish it was part of the Apple ecosystem.

2 friends have now ordered their own Meta smart glasses. 4 others want to buy them and probably will in the coming months. It's the first time I've seen face computers go viral among my (normal) friends. They finally understand why I work in this industry, which is very cool :)

I'd love to see Apple's take on smartglasses. I remember @mattmiesnieks “Watch on your face” idea. No need for 3DOF/6DOF tracking, just give me AI-powered Siri, a camera, good speakers and microphones + a HUD for notifications. This coupled with a ring could replace my Watch.

It's not “just the f YouTubers”.  Some renowned developers are also returning their Vision Pro.  Important to understand why.  Is it comfort, utility, social awkwardness, or something else?  I understand many prefer spend $3500 on a refined V2 rather than $8k on v1+v2.  [Quotes Flighty app developer @rjonesy's Fe. 16 tweet about returning Vision Pro]
