In a nutshell: Valve has deleted the Steam Subscriber Agreement's binding arbitration clause and class action waiver which was previously applicable to US users & other areas where they were enforceable. This is the first revision to the SSA since 4/25/23. https://x.com/...

Steam just removed its forced arbitration policy, opening the door for lawsuits against its parent company, Valve.

Binding arbitration clauses are very stinky (as documented extensively by Rossmann), so no matter how you slice it, getting rid of it from the SSA is a good move. But I can't help but wonder what's with Valve's very abrupt change of attitude tonight. https://x.com/...

The real winner in this Apple Watch Series 9/Ultra 2 patent debacle is Canada.  All those watches that Apple can't sell in the US, they probably instructed their stores to box them up and send them to the nearest Apple Store up north to sell here instead.
