This day is nuts. Apple finally caved, allowing Xbox, GeForce NOW, and what would've been Stadia (RIP) to distribute their #cloudgaming apps on the App Store, just like Android. This is massive!

Pixel won't get any closer to being the iPhone of Android than this. Some of the design cues are uncanny. That said, it's gorgeous. I also like that Pixel's camera bar keeps evolving while maintaining its distinct silhouette. Good stuff.

And for Google's next trick — killing off the Fitbit and Nest brands in place of Pixel everything.  They're already *so* close; may as well just seal the deal.

This is a great read on Apple's push into gaming on Mac. Some key takeaways are that the building blocks are all there for devs to port their games, but questions of if they will, what stores they'll use, and when they'll do it are most pressing. https://www.inverse.com/...

Using the official Android account to attack Apple's iMessage tactics in a way that encourages its followers to pressure (IE bully) Apple to change those tactics is the essence of hypocrisy. iPad has had this problem for a long time. It's a svelte machine with loads of potential that's continuously kneecapped by its OS. Now with an M1 chip, it would be awesome to have a MacOS mode that bridges the gap between iPad's power and functionality. https://www.macworld.com/...
